Question i have 2 cats that are pregnant for the second time!!
1. my cat boe is a manx and this was an accident pregnancy!! her being manx makes it very difficult when to tell if she is in heat.she had no problems with her first litter except where her manx baby died at 2 days!! if she has another manx cat do you think it will survive???she had 4 kittens and they are already in their new homes(except the one that died, we barried him)
2.my cat asia is also pregnant with her second litter!!! this was also an accident pregnancy.we were on vacation while my grandma was caring for them.she must have let her out or something.she had many complications with her first birth. her first kitten came out backward and got stuck so i had to pull it out(gently). then she had others. every other kitten she had would make her scream and in alot of pain!!! it killed me to se her like that!! but my friend gave her to us pregnant!!she had 5 kittens and they are all ready to go to homes in the 19th!!!
this is very important for me to know becuause i love my cats!!(he don't have the money to fix them so that is out of the question)
Answer Not every cat is necessarily going to be good for breeding and it sounds like Asia could be one of those. I know you say you don't have money to get them neutered, but you can't go on letting them come into season as that can lead to womb infections which if left untreated (and will be more expensive than neutering them) they will die.
Asia may have a better time giving birth this time but she will not have had sufficient time to get over her last litter so will need a lot of good quality food to build her up.
As to Boe, it may not necessarily mean that any of her kittens will die just because one did last time. This does depend on what she was mated to. Was it another Manx? If it was then yes quite possibly you could lose a Manx kitten. If however she was mated to a cat with a normal tail then the risk is quite minimal.
Do consider neutering them if you don't have a lot of money because before long you will find you come across a problem with kittening that needs an urgent visit to the vet and those visits will always be very expensive. You may find that you have a shelter or a charitable vet that may neuter them for you very cheaply.
