Question
hello i know that we aren't supposed to do this but my cat boe is pregnant for the second time and i was wondering if it would be any different that her first??

her first had no problem!

except where her manx kitten( mom is manx)died at day 2!!!
do you think that if she had aanother one that it would live this time????

Answer
Hi Kasadee
Manx cats are as you know tailess and do carry a lethal gene if they are bred tailess to tailess. So if you bred Boe to another non Manx chances are her litter would be healthy. However if you bred manx to manx then there is a 25% chance that the kitten will carry the lethal gene and die. I am sorry that I could not be more helpful but genetics is a complicated science and not predictable.
Email me off list if you want to know more or provide me with your pm and I will reply in detail there
