Question Hello, when can a cat go into heat again after giving birth?
How long are you suppose to wait in between breedings?
Answer Some of it depends on how many kittens the girl has but if they have one or two kittens, it is not unknown for a girl to call very soon after kittens though of course she should not be mated. However it is more normal for the girl to call from 8 or 12 weeks onwards.
The recommendation is that there should be at least 20 weeks between litters.
