Question Dear Doctor Ray
My bio-color Persian girl Katya is pregnant for the second time , 5 months after her first pregnancy . I have bought her calcium syrup and multivitamin syrup as she's now 5 weeks pregnant . I would like you to tell me how much can I daily feed her by these two syrups , and from which week I would better start it ? Is that really needed or not ?
Thank you
Soheil
Answer Hi Sohell
If your cat is on a diet you should check the rda on the diet
see the link http://recommendeddailyallowances.blogspot.com/ for recommended daily allowance for felines. This is the normal allowance you should increase slightly when pregnant.
if you want to give her any of the syrups then I would only give her less than one quarter of the standard child dose.
Under no circumstance over dose the cat with vitamins and minerals as this could harm the litter.
