Breeding and Showing Cats/queen cat

Question
Hello im very concerned about my cat Twinkle, who is a pedigree Ragdoll, she has been suffering with very runny stools for about five days i have kept her on dry food for this period. I was advised by a freind to boil some chicken and mixed it in with some unwashed brown rice to replace her normal diet. Iam increasingly concerned as she seems to be in some kind of pain, i don't know if this is because the runny stools have caused her to be sore in the anal area

Answer
Dear Fanoulla

If Twinkle has had this diahorrea for 5 days and its not improving, then I think she really needs to see a vet to get some sort of treatment. It may be a parasite causing this or an infection but in either case the vet is the best person to give you some diagnosis.

Dried food would not have helped it, but some boiled fish and chicken should have done.

Please make an appointment with the vet so that Twinkle can start to feel well again.

Expertise

I can give answers on cat breeding and showing having 'served' over 30 years in this particular field. I head up a Yahoo Group and also a cat club (NBA Cat Club) devoted to educating novices in the correct way to breed, and also show with both GCCF and TICA on a regular basis, and am well versed with the show world, having been involved in the management of the major GCCF Supreme Show in the UK for over 25 years. Genetics however is not my strong point.

Experience

30 years of continuous cat breeding and showing with two major organisations.
