Question
Hi there,
I have a quick question regarding a new kitten we have just bought- his mum was a tabby and his dad was apparently a big bengali cat- I was wondering whether he was likely to follow the bengali characteristics or if there's anything to look out for?

How did you know the father was a bengal?
Usually domestic kittens do tend to follow the behaviour pattern of their mother as they spend all of their growing with the mother. In the wild both parents would be close to the kittens so behaviour would be different.

| Comment | Hi Ray, The owner told me the dad was a ginger bengali. I wasn't specifically after a bengal cat and he wasn't advertised as a cross bred bengal either. I saw the father in the back garden of their house and he was a large bengal. The Kitten has a tabby-look face and paws ie stripey but his body is more spotted and he has a few spots on his body. | ||
