Question
I find feline genetics very hard to understand.  I would like to know what colours would a red point male ragdoll to either a chocolate or blue carrying chocolate ragdoll produce. Are there any colour predictors that include the red series and chocolate and lilacs.

Answer
Hi Michelle
try these sites

http://www.geocities.com/purrceptive.rm/catColor2.html
http://www.tenset.co.uk/catgen/indexus.html
http://www.catterysearch.com/tools/persian_color_chart.asp
http://www.cats4u.co.za/colourchart.htm

FiFe Federation International Feline also produce a very good colour predictor chart that will help you determine the exact colour of your kittens given the parents. It is for sale at about $10 + p&p

Play around with the first website link and it will of course predict the possible colours of the kittens but remember the statistics on outcome and numbers is just probable not actual. Each mating is a unique event and the outcome is competely unknown at conception.
