Question

Skunk
For the last month or so my four year old cat, Skunk, has begun meowing incessantly, sometimes for an hour or more at a time.  Usually she does it by the door.  I can't get her to understand that she is NOT GOING OUT!  She is fixed so she's not in heat.  I try to play with her and love on her, but she's making me NUTS!  It's like having a baby that won't stop crying!  HELP!!!!!

Answer
Hi Amanda
Are you sure she is fixed, did a vet do it to her for you, or have you acquired her since the event?
Is there any othe cat in the vacinity that could be tresspassing on her patch? Has she ever been outsire and you are now restricting her?
Check her litter tray and make sure it is cleaned regulalry she could be wanting to wee etc but not make a mess indoors.
Final resort is to get her some company. It has long been assumed that cats are not gregarious but just colony animals who come together for protection and food, but some animals are naturally companion animals and need company to ccupy them.
