Hi,
My queen Kitty went for a strole on new years eve 12/31/09. She came home Jan 1st and has been fatting up and eating like crazy. She did go into heat about 2.5 weeks ago for about 3 days.. Not much calling,more butt showing and being wet. I took her out on her harness in the snow and poof, the heat cycle went away. My thing is. I haven't taken her to a vet because I am on unemployment and barely make enought to cover the rent,but I have felt the lumps when she was about 4 weeks. Now I can feel the outline of atleast 2 maybe 3 kittens. And I lay with her, hold her belly, she falls asleep and ill be resting my hand on her tummy and I don't feel anything moving at all, just feel like little bubbles at the joining of the ribcagde.so now I notice her tummy is getting a bit lower but nothing she plays like crazy, but no signs of babies coming. Since I have never felt them move do you think she might have still borns? Or since she is a small sized queen they can just be dormant? I am really exited and can't wait. And it seems longer and longer the more days pass... should I worrie?

So sorry for the delay, but the Experts server has been down. My answer I tried to send yesterday was.............

If she has kittens in there they are due just about any time now!

It is possible for pregnant cats to have a 'break through' call during pregnancy.  On a first litter, the tummy muscles can be very tight and the kittens' movement may not be so apparent, though it is unusual to not feel anything at all.  The change in her shape is usual just before birth so I would suggest that you make sure she has a box to have them in and she may start to nest very soon.

Do keep an eye on her as if they are going to be still borns then she may need some veterinary help as even though she may be in labour, any still borns will not be able to help themselves which may make it difficult for her.
