Question
I have a blue eyed white male and would like to get a red female. He is also a color point carrier. Could you tell me the possible colors that I could get with this mating? His dad is a copper eyed white and his mom is a shaded silver.

Answer
Hi Linda

You may find the links below useful and give you some understanding of what colours you may get.

There are many variables which affect what colours you can get and you may end up with some surprises.

I would mention that you need to get your white male BAER tested as blue eyed whites may carry the deafness gene.

Expertise

I can give answers on cat breeding and showing having 'served' over 30 years in this particular field. I head up a Yahoo Group and also a cat club (NBA Cat Club) devoted to educating novices in the correct way to breed, and also show with both GCCF and TICA on a regular basis, and am well versed with the show world, having been involved in the management of the major GCCF Supreme Show in the UK for over 25 years. Genetics however is not my strong point.

Experience

30 years of continuous cat breeding and showing with two major organisations.
