Question

Coco & Abby
Hi .I have a Male & Female Ragdoll cat which I had hoped to breed for a couple of litters. My male is 17mths old and the female is 15 mths old. She has been in heat about  5 times since she was about 9 mths old. they seem to go through all the motions of mating but so far she has not got pregnant..It is not vital to me that this happens, however I am just wondering whether this is common or could it be one of them may be sterile. appreciate any info you may be able to provide (They have grown up together and seem to be totally in love!!).lol..thanks..cheryl

Answer
It can take a while for males to figure things out....if you don't hear her scream and "roll" after mating, then he is not being successful in his attempts.  It can take a while before they figure things out, so I would just be patient.  They are both still young.
