Breeding and Showing Cats/Savannah at show

Question
Since Fife is the largest club here in Europe, I am trying to take my Savannahs
and show them to the public on a Fife show. It seems that this General Rule is
in my way:

CHAPTER XIII - MISCELLANEOUS -
ARTICLE 13.1
FIFe will not recognize or accept any new breeds resulting from a mating
between a domestic cat (felis catus) to a wild cat species or from a mating
between a domestic cat (felis catus) to a hybrid cat (F1 – F4) out of a crossing
with a wild cat species.
These breeds will not be allowed to be shown at any show or event organized
by a FIFe member

English is not my native language, so I am asking you how we should
interpret this rule.
Does it or does it not allow F5 or later generation on a show?
I am getting a big NO from the  clubs. But I am not sure that I should agree.

Thanks for your help!

Yvonne

Answer
Hi Yvonne

I would read the rule in the same way as yourself, but I am trying to get this clarified by people who do show in Fifé.  However you may be interested to know that TICA do recognise the Savannah so you may like to think about investigating showing with them.  Their main website is http://www.tica.org/html/english/home/

If I get any news I will let you know.

Expertise

I can give answers on cat breeding and showing having 'served' over 30 years in this particular field. I head up a Yahoo Group and also a cat club (NBA Cat Club) devoted to educating novices in the correct way to breed, and also show with both GCCF and TICA on a regular basis, and am well versed with the show world, having been involved in the management of the major GCCF Supreme Show in the UK for over 25 years. Genetics however is not my strong point.

Experience

30 years of continuous cat breeding and showing with two major organisations.
