Question
my cat didnt eat the umbilical cord off her kittens right away. is it important to remove it immediately or is it ok to leave on unitl she has the chance to remove it?

Answer
It is not important that the cat should eat the cord. She does so for two reasons, one it releases the kitten from the placenta and two because she is hungry
If the cord is still there you can remove it your self very carefully. Don't cut too close to the kitten. Then just dispose of the cord.
