Question
im pretty sure my cat is ready to go inot labor. however she is still eating and alot for that matter and i heard they lose thier appetite when they go in labor. her kittens are moving around like crazy in her belly and her niples are read and sticking out. do you think she can go into labor soon?

Answer
Hi Tracy
cats go into labour when they are ready usually between 63 to 65 days of pregnancy. So if you know when she became pregnant you have a rough idea of when she is due.
She may stop eating immediately before giving birth but she will eat when she is hungry it doesn't matter if she is ready to give birth. Watch her and if she starts looking for a quite place to settle down then she is ready, you should also get a 'show' just before the kittens arrive so watch for that.
Then help her through her delivery and make sure she has fresh water and some food just in case she becomes peckish
Good luck and I hope they arrive soon
