Breeding and Showing Cats/labor questions

Question
Hi,
we have a small young cat that we found about 14 days ago and knew from
the very start she was very pregnant. We took her to the vet and he said she
was about on her 50th day. If today is two weeks from that point she is on
her 64th day. She is very pregnant, but as I looked at her today and felt her,
her stomach was not as round around the middle and rib cage but almost
dropped, you could feel the babies moving slightly but really low in her
abdomen. Is this a sign she will be having her kittens soon? What should we
look for? She is hiding in places, then coming out and hiding in a new spot.
She eats barley anything and her temperature has been about 98-99 degrees
for almost three days. What are the signs of her about to go into labor? When
do you think she will have her kittens as far as the description I gave you?
Thank you,
anything helps!

Answer
Hi CeCe
Cat pregnancy lasts from 63 to 65 days so any time right about now
You will see a slight show that indicates she is about to deliver. Then all to do is sit with her, help when the kittens are delivered, clean them if necessary, assist them breathing, weigh them if you have a scale and then return them to mum immediately.
Remove the placenta if you wish but sometimes mum eats it for nourishment
Good luck
