Question
hello
how do i know when my cat is in season?
and who many times will she go into season in a year

Answer
Cats go into 'call' every three to five weeks weeks I'm afraid. However some breeds only have one or two calls a year. Persians are notorious for only one or two calls per year. If she is screaming out of a window or by the back door, she is in season, if she is clingy and always rolling or her back but not screaming then she may be having something called a quiet call. To check if it is a genuine call tickle her back just between her shoulder blades then work down her spine towards her tail. If her bum rises and her rear legs start pounding up and down the you have a young lady with rampant hormones. She is definitely on call at that stage.
Hope this helps
