Question
Hello. My wedding was suppose to be in Sept. My former fiance cancelled it. As a result, two of my six bridesmaids did not pay for their dresses in full. The bridal boutique has sent me a certified letter, asking me to pay the balance, and threatening if I do not, that they will take ME to court, even though my dress and flower girls dresses are paid for. The bridesmaids all signed for their own gowns. Can they make me pay for the girls dresses?

Answer
If you told your bridesmaids when the dresses were fitted and ordered that they were responsible for paying for their own dresses then NO you are not responsible for paying the balance. The store can't threaten you with legal recourse. I would suggest contacting the bridesmaids and inform them to pay for their dresses and if they refuse let the store know to send the balance to the two bridesmaids and tell them to take up with them since your other bridesmaids had already paid for their gowns.
