Question
My wedding gown is a maggie sottero.  It is white with champagne color on it.  YOu can see a picture at the following website: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?line=m&showAll=1&style=S350
I didn't necessarily want the champagne color in the dress but I messed up and now it is there.  I wanted to do a pink and green color scheme but now I'm not sure what to do since there is a champaign color in my dress.  Can you suggest a color scheme and the color for brides maids' dresses that would go well with my dress?  Thank you in advance for your help.

Answer
Nice gown and if you can contact who you got your dress from and ask if you can exchange it for the color you want as long as the gown wasn't tried on and tags are still in place. If you're going to be wearing white I would suggest soft colors more like pastels since this is the spring and summer season and you want to wear nice soft colors that won't clash with the gown you choose. Pick gowns that will compliment the unique shapes of your bridesmaids dresses and a soft pastel pink rose goes nice with white it blends well. What you want is a solid color to match not clash.

You want to do either pink or green because both are nice colors, but don't look good together it's either one or the other. Take a swatch of the colors that you want for your bridesmaid dresses and put it up against your gown to see which one actually goes well with the color and it should work from there. Also what style are you planning for the dresses? Also keep that in mind as well since some styles won't look nice.
