I have been traveling almost annually in England or Scotland as a tourist for the last 25 years, so I know quite a bit about train travel, car rental, B&Bs, tourist discounts, standard tourist sites, good places to eat, pubs, prices, and things to do off

Britain/United Kingdom/England - B&B Age Advice

Question
Me and my long term girlfriend have been wanting to go on a romatic weekend for a while now, but we were concerned because of our ages, Im 18 and shes 16 and we were wondering if you knew whether any B&Bs might let us stay together?

Thanks

Answer
Most B&Bs do not check IDs for adults, but underage children is another matter entirely.  I am concerned, however,  because age 16 is considered a child in most states in the USA, and age 18 is considered an adult.  Things like travel, or romantic weekends, not only could be a problem, but could be considered serious violations of the law -- and I mean serious!!  You should consult immediately with your parents -- yours and hers, and perhaps even with a lawyer before continuing this relationship that involves international travel and romantic weekends.
