QuestionMy husband and I and our 19 year old daughter will be traveling to England May 24-June4. We would like to spend 3 days in London, 3 days in Bath/Cotswald and then the rest of the time visiting cousins in the NE of England. If you could help us out esp. in London. Recommendations of what to see on a budget, where to stay over and places to eat. I haave heard that there are a number of museums that are free of charge and markets to visit. Also what about the possibility of theatre tickets to see a play--we are open to many different possibilities. Also any recomendations on places around Bath or other areas to see and the best way to get from one place to another. Thank you for you help. Barb
AnswerHi,
The most resonable area to stay in is Bayswater. Many budget type hotels. Buy a tube- bus pass and you can save on getting around. London does have many great Museums and they are all free. At the time of the year you are going just walking around will be lovely. Theatre tickets can be obtained on the TKTs Half Price tickets line in leicester square the day of the performance. Food will be expensive. One place with reasonable price food is the China Town area just behind the theatre district. Indian food is also quite reasonable. Taking out sandwiches from sandwich shops is also a good idea as the weather should be nice when you go. Have fun...
Sorry but I am unfamiliar with the other areas.
