Britain/United Kingdom/England/Rail and tube card info

Question
Hello,

I hope you are doing very well.

We are a group of international university students traveling to London for a week.  We are staying in Stevenage and hope to commute to London to check out all the attractions.  I know there is a rail station in Stevenage that takes us straight to King's cross and we hope to get there that way.  I am very confused, however, about how to get information, pricing, and obtain the necessary tickets.  Everyone has the ISIC card for student discounts.   I had heard there is a travelcard that will allow us to get a 7 day pass for riding the train between London and Stevenage and also includes in the cost tube and bus access for Zones 1 & 2.  But I cannot find it anywhere online.  I tried calling tfl.gov.uk but they were unable to give me pricing.  Also national rail was unable to also.
I am concerned that this isn't a real card and we'll be stuck once we are there paying much more.  If you can shed some light on this and direct me to either websites or telephone numbers it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Answer
I am sorry Joseph,  I think you will need to talk to an expert who lives within an hour of London to see what they can tell you.  I was unable to find a ticket.  You can certainly buy a weekly ticket for tansport inside Lonon, but I think for the Stevenage London section, you will need to buy a weekly ticket of some type, which national rail should be able to explain.  It will be a weekly season ticket and should include tubes, if not busses.

Fill in the following form, say you used Ask Lisa (which is an automated question answering thing on their website which is rubbish and aggravating) and then ask them the question you asked me, which is basically...

Can I buy a season ticket to London for one week, for use every day, which allows me to use the busses and tubes in Central London?

I hope that helps a bit.

Cheers,
