QUESTION: Hey sorry for the lack of info. I will be moving to England so i will have a good amount of luggage to carry. I will be living in Hitchin. I will be traveling alone as of right now and i hope to depart by the end of Aug or whenever my Work Visa comes through

Answer
Ah, that makes it really easy!

Take the Piccadilly line of the London Underground (known as "the tube" from Heathrow (that's the only tube line there, so nice and easy!) direct (no changes!) to Kings Cross.

It takes about 50 minutes to an hour and will cost £4.

From Kings Cross, go up to the mainline station called Kings Cross and there's several trains every hour to Hitchin.

The fare is £11.70 and the journey takes 30 minutes on a fast train, or up to 50 minutes on a stopping train.

Does this help, please?

Expertise

As a full time, UK based, travel journalist, I travel almost constantly around the whole of the UK, searching out restaurants, hotels and "must see" places. Visitors for both business and pleasure are welcome to ask questions. I almost always travel by public transport, so questions on rail, air and coach / bus travel are also very welcome. I also regularly write about and use the "Eurostar" rail service between London and Continental Europe - which uses a tunnel under the English Channel - so I am able to help with any questions there, too.
