What would be the most economical method of travel for two people to get from Heathrow Airport to Dover to board cruise ship?

I suppose the most economical way is to take the Underground from Heathrow, go to Victoria Coach station, and take the bus/coach connection to Dover Cruise Port.  Not sure this is the fastest way, though...it takes almost 3 hours from Victoria coach station to the downtown Dover coach stop, plus connection times from airport and to cruise terminal.  Coach info:

Rail connection from London's Charing Cross to Dover Priory station takes just over 2 hours.  Add airport and cruise terminal connection times.  Rail timetables:
