Question
Arriving on a cruise ship in Southampton and needing to get to London for an extended stay, are there any transportation services that will pick you up right from the cruise terminal and take you to your hotel in London?

Answer
Hi  -the only taxi service I know of which specifically advertises taxis to London is
http://www.chauffeursofengland.co.uk/Airports%20and%20Seaports/taxi-from-southam...

If you complete the website form with your details, they will give you a quote.

It's a long journey, even by car, but at least you'll not need to get trains, etc.

That said, your London hotel may be close to a London train station and the overall journey may be quicker by train.

Let me know where I can help further, please.

Does this help, please?

Expertise

As a full time, UK based, travel journalist, I travel almost constantly around the whole of the UK, searching out restaurants, hotels and "must see" places. Visitors for both business and pleasure are welcome to ask questions. I almost always travel by public transport, so questions on rail, air and coach / bus travel are also very welcome. I also regularly write about and use the "Eurostar" rail service between London and Continental Europe - which uses a tunnel under the English Channel - so I am able to help with any questions there, too.
