Britain/United Kingdom/England/Luggage lockers at King's Cross

Question
I will be flying in to Heathrow with my daughter from NY arriving at 9:00 am this Friday. Our relatives live in Hertford but before getting there we would like to spend the day in London possibly without dragging our luggage with us. Since we would be catching the train to Hertford in the late afternoon/evening from King's Cross we thought we could maybe leave our luggage there and then pick it up later. Is there such a facility? Thanks for your time.

Answer
Yes, there is a left-luggage facility here and at the St Pancras station, which is right next door to Kings Cross - I used this only last week!

Take the Piccadilly line of the London Underground direct to Kings Cross St Pancras and follow the signs.

There are airline style security and x-ray checks, making for occasional short queues.

Let me know if I can help further, please!

Expertise

As a full time, UK based, travel journalist, I travel almost constantly around the whole of the UK, searching out restaurants, hotels and "must see" places. Visitors for both business and pleasure are welcome to ask questions. I almost always travel by public transport, so questions on rail, air and coach / bus travel are also very welcome. I also regularly write about and use the "Eurostar" rail service between London and Continental Europe - which uses a tunnel under the English Channel - so I am able to help with any questions there, too.
