Question
We would like to take our children to Alton Towers and Cadbury World in the October holidays and would like to know the best place to stay

Answer
Alton Towers is open 10am to 5pm in October and Cadbury World will be open at least 10am until 4pm.

However, I would need more information to recommend a place to stay - how long do you want to spend at each attraction? Whilst Cadbury World is a "part day" attraction, you could spend 1 or 2 days at Alton Towers.

Also, are you looking for a hotel (how many stars?), how big a party, bed and breakfast, self catering etc - and what approx budget do you have, please?

Finally, which Direction are you coming from, as this will make it easier for me to suggest the best places without you travelling too far.

Just let me know, please.

Happy to help!

Expertise

As a full time, UK based, travel journalist, I travel almost constantly around the whole of the UK, searching out restaurants, hotels and "must see" places. Visitors for both business and pleasure are welcome to ask questions. I almost always travel by public transport, so questions on rail, air and coach / bus travel are also very welcome. I also regularly write about and use the "Eurostar" rail service between London and Continental Europe - which uses a tunnel under the English Channel - so I am able to help with any questions there, too.
