Answer
Hello Ted,
Thanks for your question.
I'm afraid the journey from Dover to Heathrow is not a direct one, so you will need to make a couple of changes.
By public transport, the quickest route is by rail. Because the two ports are on opposite sides of the capital, you'll need to take a train from Dover into London (St Pancras station), then the underground along to London (Paddington) station, and from there take the connecting rail service out to Heathrow Airport.
As you haven't given the time of your journey, I can't tell you the exact details, but for example, if you wanted to leave Dover at 10am on a Monday, then you could travel as follows:

1044 Train from Dover Priory to London St Pancras International
1151 Arrive London St Pancras
Take underground train to London Paddington
1225 Train from London Paddington to Heathrow Airport
1240 Arrive London Heathrow central station

So the total journey time is approximately 2 hours, possibly longer at rush times.

You can look up specific journey times, prices, etc. for rail journeys at www.nationalrail.co.uk

I hope that information is useful.
