I will be at Heathrow Airport around noonand by the time i finish through my immigration i will still have 20 hours to kill.  Heathrow Airport does not have Lounge facilities for economic class passenger , in spite of paying 18 pounds the lounge authority  allows to stay for only 4 hours. i also want to know when do i  go to Gatwick Airport, if i  start at  late evening will the Airport authority allow me to enter as i  will have plenty of time for my flight. please help.

Answer
I have 2 lots of good news for you!

1) You can stay at London Gatwick Airport overnight - there's no problem at all (and I personally do this several times a year when I have an early morning flight!).

There's plenty of seats and quiet areas, plus places to eat / drink and freshen-up.

2) I can also recommend Yotel!

http://www.yotel.com/en/Hotels/London%20Gatwick.aspx

This has all the facilities of a full service hotel room, is in the Airport (in the South Terminal) and you can pay, by credit card, by the hour (minimum 4 hours). No need to book! The cost averages around £10 per hour, there's areal bed, power shower, tv etc.

Do let me know where I can help further, please!

As a full time, UK based, travel journalist, I travel almost constantly around the whole of the UK, searching out restaurants, hotels and "must see" places. Visitors for both business and pleasure are welcome to ask questions. I almost always travel by public transport, so questions on rail, air and coach / bus travel are also very welcome. I also regularly write about and use the "Eurostar" rail service between London and Continental Europe - which uses a tunnel under the English Channel - so I am able to help with any questions there, too.
