Question
Hi, please advise the cheapest travel from either London Heathrow or Gatwick airport to Paignton in Devon. I have to book a flight and don't know which airport is best to land at.  If coaches are cheapest, which should I use?
Thanks
Linda

Answer
Hello Linda,
Coach is most likely to be the cheapest option for journeys, although if you are able to book well enough in advance then train fares can be very competitive.
If you land at Heathrow, then a direct coach service to Paignton is available, with fares starting at under £20 when booked well in advance, and rising to around £35. The journey time is between 4½ and 5 hours.
There are options for train services from either Gatwick or Heathrow, but both journeys require 2 changes of train, and take a similar amount of time to the coach journey. The train fares start at just about £20, and rise to around £60 for later bookings.
If you would like to look into journey options and prices, you can look up coach and rail times and fares on the following websites:
Coaches: www.nationalexpress.com
Rail: www.nationalrail.co.uk

I hope that information is useful.
Regards
