Michael - saw your knowledgeable answer on this last year: how do I get from Gatwick or Heathrow to central London on Christmas Day? Last year there was a good bus service at Heathrow, but I can't find any website on this anywhere. Heathrowexpress site is down, but I believe all other stations are closed that day. Many thanks for any clues.

Neither of the express rail services run on Christmas Day as this day is used for essential track maintenance, etc. However, on both the Gatwick and Heathrow Express routes, a replacement coach service will run instead. This will leave every 30 minutes from Gatwick Airport into London's Victoria station. From Heathrow, the timetable is not yet agreed, but it is certain to run, and is likely to be of similar frequencies.
Hopefully you will be able to get access to the Heathrow Express and Gatwick Express websites soon to see the full details of the timetables there.
