Question
My wife and I are travelling from Canada, where the dollar is pretty poor.  We are forced to be on a tight budget but would like to enjoy lower fat meals.  Is there a key to finding inexpensive quality food, (In Vancouver, we would recommend the White Spot chain and stay away from pubs).  Perhaps there is an internet site that would help us?

If you were educated in Birmingham in the early sixties then you should know the name.

Thanks

Answer
Dear Frank

I don't think you will have a problem finding good low fat food though there is no specific chain I would recommend in London.

We eat out a lot avoiding heavy fatty things and most places now have healthier options even in the cheaper places...

We find Thai and Chinese restaurants quite good for that too and there are lots of those in London.

Most places have their menu outside so you can check before you go in...

Have a good trip and I hope the weather warms up for you - it is like winter here today!

I have been living in London for the last 20 years so can answer general enquiries relating to the city. I also live near the British Museum so I can answer questions on accomodation in that area. I have also travelled extensively in the US so I can offer advice to Americans coming to London on a cross cultural basis.
