Question
Hello, my wife and I are planning to stay 5 days in London in next July. Could you please advise tips or good adress for true Bed & breakfast (at people's home, the best for contact with local population) or even in a hotel , as it seems London's hotels are quite expansive. We will spend 4 days in downtown, and we are seeking with bathroom or shower accomodation inside the room (what you call en-suite room I think..). We would apreciate not pay more than 50 GBP in hotel per night for the room (not including breakfast, and may be less in a private home or flat. Thanks beforehands.

Answer
Dear Bruno,

Yes, London hotels are very expensive and I cannot recommend any hotels in London that cost £50 or less per night.  You might want to check with London Homestays, a company that specializes in less expensive accomodations in private homes.  Here is their website:

This is not a personal recommendation...I have not used this company myself, but I have heard some good things about London Homestay.

I hope this is helpful.
