I have been traveling almost annually in England or Scotland as a tourist for the last 25 years, so I know quite a bit about train travel, car rental, B&Bs, tourist discounts, standard tourist sites, good places to eat, pubs, prices, and things to do off

Question
Hi! Wondering if you could give me a rough idea how much cabfare would be from London Luton airport to the Waterloo station (to pick up the Eurostar)?  Also do you know of somewhere decent under 50 pounds for two people to stay for one night near London Stansted airport?
Thanks for your help!
Debbie Taylor

Answer
Cabfare from Luton Airport to Waterloo Station is going to be about £78-80, but you can book a car from an agency called Just Airports for around £40.

Getting a room for £50 near Stansted is going to be tough but there are some small B&Bs which probably will be that inexpensive.  Check with the local tourist information office as the best place to book local accommodation in your price range.
