AnswerHello again,
I do hope you get this email very soon, as I have some very good news! There is a special offer on coaches from London to Aberdeen, so a ticket on the overnight bus (which takes 12 hours) will cost just £1! (About 6.6 Malaysian Ringgits). You must, though, book this ticket soon, and you must print the ticket yourself.
To book the ticket, visit this website:
http://www.nationalexpress.com/home/hp.cfm?t=own
In the journey box, type in the from/to boxes:
From: LONDON Victoria
To: Aberdeen
Set the date to 25 Jan, and choose 'single' journeys. Then click on the 'Times & Fares' button.
On the next page it will ask you to confirm your start and end point. These should read:
LONDON, Victoria Coach Station, Greater London
ABERDEEN, Guild Street Bus Station, Scotland
Here you can click on the 'Continue' button.
On the next screen it should show you the different coach times. There is a coach which leaves London at 2230, and arrives in Aberdeen at 1025 the following morning. Near the select option it should say "From £1"
Choose this option, and click to say 1 adult is travelling, then click on the continue button again.
On the next page it should show a few different fares, on of which will be the "£1 funfare". Choose this option, and follow the screens to purchase and print your ticket. The instructions for travel should be on the ticket.
Then, when you come to England, on teh day you arrive at Gatwick you can buy a train ticket to take you into London (this will cost about £9) to London Victoria train station, which is very near London Victoria Coach Station. I'm afraid you must wait in London for several hours before you coach leaves, but you can perhaps look around London and see Buckingham Palace and places before you catch your coach to Aberdeen. It is much better to do this and pay just £1 for your bus ticket, I think!
I hope that there are still som £1 tickets left when you get this message, and I hope you enjoy your stay in Aberdeen.
Regards
Michael
