Question
Hello, we're travelling up to alton towers from brighton next month, but wanted to stop by somewhere in the middle, but haven't got a clue about where to go!! Could you give advise on anywhere nice but cheap to visit? fun tourist attractions are always good, and wouldn't mind venturing off a little, but no further than alton towers. Any ideas??
Thanks

Answer
Hello Stacey,
Thanks for your email. I've had a quick glance at possible routes, and wondered if Cadbury World sounding appealing? It's in Birmingham so might make for an appropriate place to stop en route?

There's not a huge amount to do by way of big attractions in the midlands, but you might like to have a browse at
http://www.enjoyengland.com/attractions/whats-near-you/
and search for attractions round mid-way towns like Bedford, Northampton & Leicester.

Hope that helps to give you a start
Kind Regards
Michael
