Hello, we're travelling up to alton towers from brighton next month, but wanted to stop by somewhere in the middle, but haven't got a clue about where to go!! Could you give advise on anywhere nice but cheap to visit? fun tourist attractions are always good, and wouldn't mind venturing off a little, but no further than alton towers. Any ideas??

Oxford and the Cotswolds are about half way, but I need to know a little more about you and what you enjoy, and where you are from and how many times you have visited England and what your interests are in general;  there is so much to choose from.
