Question
My husband and I will arrive at Heathrow from the US at 6:45 am on Sunday, June 11.  We have to catch a British Airlines flight to Dubrovnik out of Gatwick at 11:00 am.  What is the quickest, least expensive way to do this transfer?

Thanks so much.

Answer
Hi Maggie,

Thanks for your question.

By far the quickest way from Heathrow to Gatwick is by coach. The journey takes about one hour 15 minutes, and costs around £18 (US$32). Coaches leave the central bus station at Heathrow roughly every 20 minutes.

You can find out more about the operator, with times, fares and the ability to buy tickets online at
http://www.gobycoach.com/
which is the website of our national coach operator.

Are both your flights BA flights, or have they been booked as connecting flights by an agent? Normally, the airports here recommend 4 hours between flights as a minimum, which you just about meet, but it's always easier if both bookings are connected of course! If not, it might be worth just checking that BA are aware of your situation regarding the transfer.

Hope you pass easily through the UK

Kind Regards
Michael
