Question
Hi Michael,
I live in Canada and am planning to visit my son who is living and working in Peterborough.  He hasn't been there long and isn't informed enough to give me guidance.  I plan to fly to one of the English airports and wondered if getting from these airports to Peterborough is simple and are the trains/buses regularly scheduled.  Which would be the best to fly into.  The choices I have are Stanstead, Gatwich, Manchester, Newcastle and Liverpool.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Answer
Hello Lorraine,
Thank you for your question.
Peterborough is fortunately rather well served by public transport and airport connections. In particular, it is not far from Stansted Airport, and has a direct train running roughly every hour on weekdays, and every 2 hours on Sundays. The journey itself takes around 90 minutes.
You can look up train times, and book tickets at

I hope your enjoy your visit to the United Kingdom
Kindest Regards
Michael

Hopefully having lived here since birth, I will know a fair bit about the area...although I can't claim to know it all!
