Question
hello mr smith
i am really struggling on doing my essay
the question i want to ask is
why is it to do with religion that henry viii changed the religion of the Church of England?

Answer
Hello Ayat.
Henry VIII created the Church of England, but it was more a political move than a religious one. He kept many of the fundamental rites of the Catholic Church, not wanting to encourage mass upheaval in the country. It was only after his death, during the reign of his son Edward VI, that the Protestant Church took hold in religious matters.
I had a similar question to this a few weeks ago. If you look back through my previous answers you might find more information there.
