Question
I currently have a medalion that is to commemorate the birth of James Edward who was born in 1688. James Edward was the only son to King James II (his head on medallion) who was known as the young pretender.

The medalion is genuine and is made of solid silver and the workmanship for the period is superb.

I would appreciate it if you could email me back a value of this if you know, are know someone who might?

Many thanks for you help.

Answer
Hello Dani.
Prince James Edward Stuart, Duke of Cornwall and Rothesay (1688-1766) was known as the Old Pretender, his son Charles (1720-88) was the Young Pretender.
I don't know much about antiques, so the best thing to do is to take it to an antique or coin dealer who should be able to value it.
