Question
i have a copy of the holy bible with commentaries of henry and scott condensed by rev.john m'farlane lld, glasgow. printed by william collins and co. and sold by william collins, 203 buchanan street. at the bottom of the page  are the letters; MDCCCLIX.  i believe you had a copy like this and would be glad of your advice.

Answer
Hello Christina.
I've not got a copy of the Collins Bible, but I've been asked about it many times.
They were mass produced copies, MDCCCLIX is 1859, and are probably not worth very much. An antiquarian bookseller will give you a proper valuation.
