Question
what flag with the union jack and 6 white and blue stripes represented what country in 1850?
Hello Karen.
I cannot find any flag from that period that fits your description. It sounds like it ought to be the flag of a British Colonial Territory, but which I haven't been able to discover. If you've got a picture please send it.
Also I think there is a flags expert on this site, they might have a better idea of what it is.
