Question
i was left a bible of a lady she was 101 when she passed away she was given the bible to her by her mother she has wrote in it 1877 not sure how old it is its got gilt around the edges and clasp it is  william collins,& company

Answer
Hello Janet.
I've been asked this question about ten times before. The Collins Bible was printed in huge numbers during the 19th century and therefore they are of little value today. An antiquarian book dealer would give you a proper valuation, but I doubt if it'll be worth much, even in a very good condition.
