Question
Hi Mark you asked the question in 2007 what would be the value of the bible you have. Leather bound with a brass clasp, the old and new testament with the marginal readings and original and selected parallel references printed at length and the commentaries of Henry and Scott condenced by the Rev. John M'Farlane, LL.D London. by William Collins, Son. and Company London and Glasgow. Did you find out it Value? as I have the identical bible. I also have the book the Altar of the Household and an introduction by the Rev Lindsey Alexander, DD Edited by the late  Rev Dr Harris  by the London printing company. family names are signed in the front of the book 1st date 1823, do you know anything about this book? Kind regards Richard Dean

Answer
Hello Richard.
I've been asked this question several times over the years. I'm no expert on old books, so the only answer I can give is to get them valued professionally by an antiquarian book dealer. I suspect the bible isn't worth much, it was printed by the million. However your other book could be worth something, being older and rarer.
