Question
What is the oldest title in the British peerage ?
Thanks
Paul

Answer
Hello Paul.
The oldest title still in existence in Britain today is that of the Barony de Ros. It was created in 1264 and the current Baroness de Ros is the 27th holder of the title. It has survived so long because it can be passed through both the male and female lines, unlike most other titles which become extinct if the male line fails.
