Answer
Hello Natalie,

What is with all the Henry VII questions of late?

Henry VII had two daughters with Queen Elizabeth, named Margaret and Mary.  Two other daughters died young; Elizabeth as a three year old in 1495, and Katherine as an infant who was born and died in 1503.  Margaret (b 1489) married James IV, the King of Scotland.  Mary  married, first, King Louis XII  of France and then Charles the Duke of Suffolk.  Margaret was the grandmother of Mary, Queen of Scots, and Mary was the grandmother of Lady Jane Grey, the "Nine Days Queen."

So it was Margaret who provided children to eventually rule over the united thrones of England and Scotland, the Stuarts.   All subsequent royal houses (Hanover, Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, and Windsor) are descended from this line of the eldest daughter of the house of Tudor.

I hope this helps, Natalie.  Thanks for visiting AllExperts.

Sincerely,

Expertise

I am knowledgeable about English history from about 1400 to 1688, and then from the reign of Victoria (after 1837). I have a particular interest in the monarchy and dynastic relations of Europe from 1800 onwards. I cannot answer questions regarding the latter Stuarts, the early Hanovers, and the politics of the 18th century.
