British History/Oliver Crommwell

Question
Is it necessary to state that Oliver Crommwell is merely a zealout when other members of the monarchy engaged in less than admirable activities from the days of Henry VII and onward?

Answer
Hello Carl.
It's true that Oliver Cromwell was no worse and no better than many Kings and Queens of England. But Cromwell is more harshly judged because he overturned the whole system of government. Henry VIII and Mary I, to name but two, may be guilty of terrible things, but the monarchical system of government continued more or less unchanged during their reigns.
