on the first page it reads "the practical and debotional family bible. the holy bible. containing the old and new testament.according to the authorised version. with the marginal readings. and original and selected parallel refernces printed at lenght. and the commentries of henry and scott, condensed by the rev. john m`farlane, ll.d., london glasgow and london: william collins, sons, and company, limited." and i was wondering if u could give me some information and herhaps a value on it

Answer
Hello James.
I had an almost identical question to this about two years ago. It seems that these Bibles were mass produced by William Collins & Son who began printing Bibles in Glasgow in 1843. Yours will be of a later date as they did not open offices in London and Edinburgh until the end of the 19th century.
The best thing to do is contact an antiquarian bookseller and ask them to value it.
