Broadband (Cable, DSL, Satellite, Fiber Optics)/Laptop internet problems

Question
Hi,

I have a 2008 laptop that's not wifi ready. It doesn't have wifi.

How do I get an internet connection on it, and what are all the things I need to connect to the internet on my laptop.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Kari

Answer
Most people would use a USB wireless network adapter, but frankly, a 2008 laptop without wifi is probably a windows XP system - and if so, you have a lot bigger problems than whether or not it's got a wifi adapter.  My advice is toss it and buy a new one.
