Dear Ted

can we have wireless phone and internet connection on our smartphone or mobile phone while traveling in the ship?.

Thanks & Regards,
Prashant S Akerkar

Absolutely!  The cruise line will love you - typical costs are around $15-$20 PER MINUTE for ship to shore telephone calls, and $2-$3 per minute for rather slow, high latency, data access.  Many cruise lines these days run private cellular networks on the boat so you can use your phone and pay enormous roaming charges.
